Sustinable Business Awards 2011


The annual Earth Charter US Sustainable Business Awards were developed in partnership with the University of Tampa’s John Sykes College of Business Center for Ethics. These awards are given to Tampa area businesses who demonstrate excellence in focusing on People (employee and community wellbeing), Planet (environmental health), and Profit (economic performance).

The 2011 awards luncheon and ceremony will be preceded by a Forum on the Triple Bottom Line (TBL)Guided by the Earth Charter which will feature a panel of Sustainable Business Award Winners joined by international guest speakers who represent the major international efforts to deepen businesses‘ approaches to the TBL. including Paul Hohnen,Strategic Director, Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) ; Herman Mulder, Founder of the Equator Principles for Bank Project Financing; and Mirian Vilela, Executive Director of Earth Charter International.

We encourage you to nominate the businesses that are doing exemplary work in pursuing the Triple Bottom Line, and to join us in the following events, celebrating international and local business initiatives that are creating the just, sustainable and peaceful future that the Earth Charter envisions.
