Sustainable lifestyles: Los Angeles achieves massive reduction in water consumption

This past June, the city of Los Angeles implemented new water consumption restrictions managing to reduce water consumption by more than 18%. This decrease in water consumption between June and October of this last year resulted in the smallest water consumption over that time period in the last 18 years, even with the population of L.A. growing by about 500,000 in that time.

Life-cycle evaluation of both products and their packaging is an important component of achieving sustainable patterns of production and consumption and safeguarding Earth's ecosystems.

"Please Help the World": Video Introduction to the UN Climate Conference

The United Nations Climate Change Conference began today in Copenhagen, Denmark. The introductory video for the conference, "Please Help the World", provides a compelling call to action, centered around the responsibility of current generations to future generations, with young children leading the way.
